The double bedroom has generous cupboard space and a full en-suite bathroom. The queen size bed can be separated into two singles, and a mattress can be arranged for a child. Bed linen and towels are supplied.

Although Shalford House is a self-catering apartment, the kitchenette is stocked with coffee, tea, cereal, milk and sugar on arrival.

Rondebosch is an upmarket area with easy access to the major highways. Shalford House is very convenient to major schools such as Bishops, Rondebosch and Rustenburg. Newlands Cricket and Rugby grounds and the world famous Sports Science Institute are a five minute drive away, or a pleasant 15 minute stroll through nearby Keurboom Park.

The shuttle service to the University of Cape Town is a three minute walk from the apartment, making it convenient for visitors to this famous institution.

Shalford House is convenient for the major tourist attractions such as Table Mountain, the Waterfront and Kirstenbosch Gardens and high tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel.

A fifteen minute drive will bring tourists to the famous beaches of the Atlantic Seaboard, while thirty minutes will take swimming enthusiasts to the warmer waters of the False Bay Coastline.

A few minutes away by car are two major shopping centres and malls, both with cinemas. Cavendish Square is the largest of these, and is an upmarket centre with a wide array of boutiques, department stores and book and CD shops.
